We've been told we carry a bit of a surfer-beach vibe. Lisa leans toward bohemian and beachy, while some would say I'm somewhere closer to woodland hermit than Woodstock hippie — though, to be fair, the '70's crowd seemed like genuinely cool people.
We may not be great surfers yet — and by "not great," We've almost stood up on our boards — Still, we're nature people and seafolk through and through. We'll SUP with the best of them.
Lisa hails from Florida's Suncoast by way of Oklahoma. She's a genuine cowgirl, an accomplished fisherwoman, entrepreneur, and competitive dancer with a wall full of medals to prove it. Most importantly, she's simply an all-around good human.
I made my way to Florida from the frozen tundra near Lake Michigan. Northern-born wild-child by nature, I spent years as an IT consultant and did a stint in the National Guard. I once wrestled a bear and caught a small snake. Just to prove I could do what I'd seen on TV — no further questions, please.
The water calls to me like a maiden's song, and the horizon always holds some unseen magic, just out there waiting....
Our Story
Our story is an interesting one. We met at a dance studio. She seduce me with a rice crispy treat. She chased me down for my number. On our first date. We finished dinner and headed to a Drum circle.
While on the beach looking out at the horizon. I said. "I'm going to live out there and the world will be my backyard." She said. "Really? You'd live on the water?" I said. "Of course I would." With a wicked grin. She looked out to where I was pointing and said. "I'd so do that. I just never met anyone who would."
We looked at one another for a long minute. A few months later we started to hatch a plan....We both have a love of the water, sea and nature. We've decided to live a life at sea. Exploring new places and being citizens of the world.
